How do you keep my staff from finding out I'm selling?

Confidentiality is controlled by sequence and by contract: no buyer sees anything identifying until they have signed a current non-disclosure, the initial market profile carries no name or address, and you decide when your team is told rather than the process deciding for you.

This is the first question most owners ask us, and it is the right first question. A practice that looks unsettled is worth less. An associate who hears a rumor takes a recruiter's call she would have ignored a month earlier. Losing a doctor in the middle of a process can cost far more than the deal was ever going to gain.

So the sequence is built around it. We sign a mutual non-disclosure with you before you send us anything — it binds us, not just you. When we go to market, buyers first see a generic profile: a practice of approximately this size, in approximately this area, with roughly this many doctors. Nothing that identifies you. Only after a buying group has a current non-disclosure on file do they get access to the data room.

We do not publish listings, we do not advertise your practice, and we do not contact anyone at your practice. Communication runs to you, on a channel you choose, at times you choose.

When your team is told, and how, is your decision and part of the plan rather than an afterthought. We will tell you what we have seen work and what we have seen go badly, and then it is your call.
